Helicopter Instructor Rating
|
The holder of an Instructor Rating Helicopter License may conduct dual helicopter flight training instruction, authorize trainees to conduct solo flights in helicopters and recommend trainees for helicopter licenses and ratings. |
| PREREQUISITE |
Candidates must hold a Commercial License Helicopter and have at least 250 hours Pilot-in-Command Helicopters |

| MEDICAL FITNESS: | Assessed as fit to hold a Category 1 Aviation Medical |

| KNOWLEDGE: |
Applicants shall have completed a minimum of 25 hours of groundschool as outlined by Transport Canada As well, successful completion of Transport Canada’s two written examinations for issue of the Instructor Rating |

| EXPERIENCE: |
A minimum of 30 hours of flight training in helicopters which shall include 5 hours of training instrument |

| SKILL: | Successful completion of a flight test to the standard outlined in the applicable Transport Canada Flight Test Guide | ||||||||||||||||||||
