Coast Mountain Helicopters is a helicopter pilot training school located at the Campbell River airport where your flight training begins as soon as the blades are turning! The airport offers an ideal and safe location to practice traffic, radio and emergency procedures. Within five minutes of the airport you will find yourself in a real operational environment surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, various lakes and endless mountain ranges.
Our instructors have been highly active in the pilot training and commercial helicopter industry for over 15 years. They are excited and committed to bring you the highest level of training and preparing you for your first job as a commercial helicopter pilot.
The general consensus of the helicopter industry is that 90% of the work is in remote environments. Here at Coast Mountain Helicopters we are fortunate to have the various terrain in our back yard to fulfill training required for the industry. Even after your pilot training has been completed you will have only received a taste of what the Campbell River area has to offer.
